Here’s the recommended method for brewing:
- Use 1 teaspoon of the herbal blend and steep it in hot water for 10 minutes.
- Strain the tea and enjoy your first cup.
- After consuming the first cup, place the used herbs back into the cup and add another cup of water.
- Let this second cup steep for about 12 hours. This extended steeping time helps to activate the herbs further and extract every single vitamin and nutrient.
- The second cup will be the most potent, providing the maximum health benefits.
Alternatively, you can use this method:
- In a large pot or mason jar, add 3 teaspoons of the herbal blend to 6 cups of boiling water.
- Cover and let it steep for 12 hours.
- Store the tea in the refrigerator and drink it throughout the next 2 to 3 days, consuming 2 to 3 cups per day. Sweeten according to your taste, but avoid using sugar. Agave is a great option, and while you can use honey, it may change the flavor. Personally, we enjoy the natural taste of these teas.
